The 34th Kingdom Day Parade Art Exhibit epitomized a reverent celebration of the life and enduring legacy of Martin Luther King through the prism of artistic expression. Commemorating Martin Luther King Day with unparalleled flair, the Kingdom Day Parade played host to a gathering of discerning art enthusiasts who were treated to an array of cutting-edge artworks emanating from the burgeoning culture of diversity and its distinguished talents.

This multicultural showcase featured some of Los Angeles’ most esteemed visionaries, proudly participating in the 34th Annual Martin Luther King Parade in Leimert Park, presented by the Congress Of Racial Equality. The meticulously curated exhibition unfolded on Monday, January 18th, 2016, under the discerning guidance of Omar Holguin, the esteemed Director of La Mancha Gallery.

A select group of historical artists graced this prestigious exhibit, showcasing their prowess in a manner that captivated attendees. Among the featured talents was Ron Zeno, renowned for his masterful recycled cardboard sculptures, and Darren Smith-Robinson, whose vibrant abstract post-cubist art added a colorful dimension to the collection.

Holguin, the curator of this distinguished event, remarked, “This gathering serves as a testament to the life and legacy of Martin Luther King through the transcendent language of the arts.” The exhibition featured the works of revered muralist and artist George Combs, along with the thought-provoking “Judgement Art Chapel” by Don Frazell, a poignant tribute to John Coltrane. The carefully curated exhibition dared to challenge the status quo and its institutional norms, presenting a thought-provoking exploration of artistic boundaries.
