Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration

Los Angeles, CA, September 26, 2013– Join Us in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. The Vex Arts is proud to host a two day event, with Live Performances, Music, Fashion and Art Exhibition produced and curated by award winning curator Omar Holguin and Steve Gates from La Mancha Gallery. Hispanic Heritage Month activities includes a selection of recent works by famous installation artists including: Pola Lopez, Linda Vallejo, Neca Dantas, Victor Herminio Lopez, Olivia Barrionuevo, Raul Paulino Baltazar, Leo Limon, Isabel Martinez, Fernando Lozano, Ester Petschar, Felipe Ramos, Xavier Yarto, Nestor Rodriguez, Victor Payan, and many more..

Music and Fashion Production

A Special live stage performance by Victor Herminio Lopez, Poetry by Iris De Anda, The City Terrace Dukes with former original members of Los Illegals, guest DJ Edward Transylvania and a surprise musical guest appearance by Willie Chambers from the band Chamber Brothers best known for its 1968 hit record, the 11-minute long song “Time Has Come Today”

This event introduced innovative and independent fashion designers and their impressive creations, Designers included Krizta & Co., Bernadette Mopera & Co. Showroom, Coco Risque by Spice Lingerie. The included the contribution of following people: April Love Beauty Academy for the hairstyling, Bellezza Global for the Make-up, Choreography by Chu Yah, All fashion Photography by Raphael A. Patricio and Francine Monet of Hollywood Broker TV.

A selection of recent works by prominent artists included: Muralist David Botello, Pola Lopez, Linda Vallejo, Neca Dantas, Victor Herminio Lopez, Olivia Barrionuevo, Raul Paulino Baltazar, Leo Limon, Isabel Martinez, Fernando Lozano, Ester Petschar, Felipe Ramos, Xavier Yarto, Nestor Rodriguez, Victor Payan, and many more. This event featured exclusive new art installation from the series “Make ’em All Mexican” by artist Linda Vallejo
