Hector Pedraza, owner of NOVA Framing Gallery in Pasadena began painting since he was at a very young age in his native country of Colombia. Hector Pedraza’s rich canvases bring together the intellectual viewpoint of the original abstract expressionists, combined with the aesthetics of surrealism to create the sparse challenges of the minimalists, and the unfettered, primal qualities of humanity.

Aside from a mild manner business man, Hector is a renown artist know for his abstracts paintings, Hector’s choice of materials are canvas,oil paints, black pens, and acrylics, a tremendous force in the art community, Hector sets an example to many young and mid career artists by hosting monthly art exhibits at his location in Pasadena.
For the last 28 years, Hector Pedraza has been the boss of Nova Picture Framing & Gallery in Pasadena, where quality, honesty and craftsmanship goes into every piece, from an expensive oil painting to memorabilia or a diploma, Hector frames everything himself.

Pedraza is a long time member of The Pasadena Society of Artists and a City of Pasadena resident for the last 28 years as well.

La Mancha Gallery will have His work on display at Sabor 2 in Pasadena for the month of July & August 2010. On display there will be  approximately 20 pieces of Pedraza’a artwork.
