On Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 2 PM to 8 PM, Negritude Fest returns to LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes (501 N Main St, Los Angeles, CA 90012) for a vibrant, all-ages festival dedicated to uplifting Black queer and femme voices. This year’s event promises six hours of immersive programming, including live music, workshops, storytelling, and community engagement—all centered on fostering intersectional solidarity and joy.

For those unable to attend in person, Omar Holguin of La Mancha Gallery (lamancha.gallery) will partner with Negritude Fest and Plaza de la Raza to bring the festivities directly to you via livestream. In honor of the 30th anniversary of the Central Avenue Jazz Festival, the Arts Pavilion proudly returns as a cornerstone of the celebration, marking its own milestone—11 years of curating dynamic visual arts experiences that complement the spirit and legacy of Central Avenue.

Curated by Omar Holguin, Founder of La Mancha Gallery, the Arts Pavilion has grown into a vibrant cultural space that brings together 17 exceptional artists from across Los Angeles and beyond. Through live painting, exhibitions, and interactive installations, these artists translate the soul of jazz into compelling visual narratives that honor the rich history of this legendary corridor.

For more than a decade, the Arts Pavilion has established itself as a powerful extension of the festival’s mission—amplifying community voices, promoting cultural engagement, and showcasing the transformative power of art. Visitors can expect a curated experience that includes live demonstrations, immersive art environments, and opportunities to connect directly with the creators behind the work.
